Sand Key
Sand Key, just south of Clearwater Beach, is known for its gorgeous
beachfront park and spectacular high rise condos. The key to the popularity
of the park is the jetty extending into the Gulf, creating ideal conditions
for swimming and fishing. Sand Key Park, a county-owned, 95- acre park
offers wide sandy beaches, nine boardwalks, a playground, showering
facilities, restrooms, fishing, picnic areas, biking, jogging, roller trails. Year after year, it has been ranked in the Top 20 Beaches of
the United States. Sand Key is actually a two-mile long isthmus. The
majority of residences on Sand Key are high rise condos, yet there are some
town homes and single family homes on the Intracoastal side. With all of its
tall condominiums, Sand Key has an impressive gulf front, big city look.
Nestled between Clearwater Harbor's remarkable sunrises and the Gulf of
Mexico's breathtaking sunsets, Sand Key is a unique tropical island and one
of our favorite places!
